Our specialist team within energy law has broad competence within all areas of energy law. Energy law includes the legal framework for production, transfer, distribution and sales of energy. The focus is on electric energy, but energy law also includes the framework for district heating.
Energy law is a target area for Kluge, and an area with growing relevance and which is becoming more and more international with increased focus from the EU's side. The members of our specialist team follow the development within the energy law area closely and have in-depth specialist competence within i.a. legal framework conditions and regulatory issues, contract negotiation and drafting (PPAs in particular) as well as providing legal advice in strategic and business development processes. The energy law area also interacts with other legal areas where Kluge holds a strong position, including construction law, competition law, EEA-law and state aid law, and dispute resolution.
