We are delighted to welcome Camilla Grytten and Siv Veronika Madland as partners in our Oil and Gas department. They both have in-depth experience from the oil and gas industry and will further strengthen our position in the energy business.
Camilla is specialized within petroleum law and company law. She has extensive experience from E&P companies such as Norsk Hydro Produksjon, Statoil (Equinor), Premier Oil and ConocoPhillips. She also has experience from contractor company Kaefer Energy, where she held a leading position.
Camilla advises on the legal framework surrounding all phases of the petroleum activities, including the HSE regulations. She has in-depth experience with advising on the JOA and on collaboration across license borders (unitization, third party access, rig assignment etc.). Furthermore, Camilla has worked with midstream and downstream infrastructure, including the Norpipe oil pipeline and the Teesside crude and NGL terminal. She has also advised on the sale and purchase of oil and gas, including price reviews. She has taken part in a Legal Masterclass on the EFET template.
Camilla has worked with tenders, changes and disputes on the contractor side, but also with sourcing strategies, contract negotiations and evaluation of qualifications and variation order requests from the company side – both as a part of the procurement department and as a company lawyer.
Camilla has given advise on a number of license transactions, including swaps. She has also done general corporate work.
Camilla is an external examiner at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bergen. She is also selected as a participant at the 2019/2020 Female Future program of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), which includes the subject Management Competence at Board Level at Norwegian Business School (BI).
Camilla Grytten is a strong negotiator with an upbeat attitude and commercial acumen.
